An email is sent to you when a fault occurs, identifying the potential fault, and the recommended actions that should be taken.
For Zero Generation Alert faults, the PV system is generating zero energy and this may happen for a variety of reasons. This could be that there is a black out in the area, or that an earth fault has occurred either due to water seeping in or a grounding connection failure. For black out faults, once the grid turns on again the PV system should also turn back on. If the fault is due to water, once dried the system should operate as normal so no action is necessary. However if the PV system has stopped generating due to an earth fault due to poor grounding, action must be taken so that the fault can be checked and rectified, so PV generation can resume.
