A zero generation alert appears when solar analytics device has detected that no energy is being produced from the solar system.
Some common issues that will cause a Zero Generation are:
- Incorrect channel labelling
- Inverter is switched off
- Faulty inverter
- Installation issue
- Earth fault
In order to troubleshoot this issue, please check the following information on the dashboard:
Hardware Configuration. If the production data reflects more of a consumption pattern, it is likely that the channel has not been labelled correctly. This may need to be reconfigured by the Solar Analytics team.
Inverter Display and Live Monitor
Please request the customer to check the inverter display and take note of any messages or alert that may appear at the time of occurrence.
In the scenario where the inverter is still displaying a considerable amount of generation, this means that the device has not been installed correctly and that an electrician needs to revisit and re-wire them
